Description

Whether you are dodging trees through the backcountry, hiking up the most epic ascents, or catching some groomers on piste, the Push can do it all. Equipped with 4 buckles, a smooth flex and more forgiving than the Custom, the Push is Black Diamond's quiver-of-one boot.

Redesigned Power Fit Light Liner features a 3:1 Freeride Series Boa closure system, aerogel-insulated strobel base and articulating zones for touring comfort. Triax Perfromance Frame with Flex 110, MidStiff bellows and increased ankle flexion give you the perfect balance of cuff-to-bellows flex. The Push is the ideal responsive, comfortable, tourable boot for any terrain you take on this winter.

My go to telemark boot
For me the Black Diamond Push is my go to telemark boot. I use the Push for everything short of a flat land tour where I would choose to break out my old 3 pin leathers. The Push has a great slightly asymmetrical bellows flex and just enough stiffness to feel balanced between power and flexibility. The walk mode is the best available providing less resistance on the ascent than most 3 buckle boots. In ski mode these boots are as stiff as many alpine boots which in my opinion can be a mixed blessing. I love the torsional stiffness, but prefer a more natural forward flex like scarpa in the powder. The major selling point for me is that these boots fit me better than anything else on the market. I have medium to narrow feet and large bony ankles. Scarpa boots ski well, but tend to pinch my ankle like a vice grip. Garmont have enough room for my feet and several spare insoles and have a soft linear flex. The Push is my go to boot. Review by Forrest [GearX Staff] / (Posted on 10/12/2012)
