It's mud season here in Vermont's Champlain Valley (aka the "banana belt") but there's still plenty of snow up high! That means it's time to start selling our fleet of 2012/13 demo skis.
Here we have a pair of Blizzard Samba 166cm skis mounted up with Marker Tour 12 AT bindings (size small). It's no secret that we see a lot more hard-pack snow than anything else out here on the east coast, and the Samba is a ski that loves to tear up the hard stuff. Its tenacious edge grip and stability at speed make it a great choice for groomers, ice, crud, and every other sort of front-side snow condition. The Samba is not a very forgiving ski, however, so just make sure you're up to the challenge of how hard it wants to shred. The Samba is categorized as a women's-specific ski. Our ski manager rates the condition of this particular pair as an 8.5 out of 10.
- Flip Core 3D technology: Blizzard's answer to all of the buzz about rocker is to insert the wood core of the ski upside-down, so that the downward-facing, convex side of the core creates a natural bend. This natural rocker-shape is already built into the construction of the ski, not needing any additional re-pressing.
