This is the final installation of our four part lecture series presented by Susan Morse. The lecture series focuses on better understanding the wildlife inhabitants of our local woods. You will learn feeding behaviors, browsing habits, temperaments, and how to track them.
Part Four – Bear With Us: Living in Harmony With Our Black Bear Neighbors – Will be centered around the Black Bears of the Northeast. If you've spent much time camping in New England, chances are you've seen or encountered one. These guys get a pretty bad reputation, however, they are just as afraid of people as people are afraid of them. This is why Sue Morse is going to present on how to live in harmony with them. Knowing how to react when you encounter a Black Bear can make a big difference in whether the perceive you as friend or foe.
