For more fun on the adventure: ideal fit and perfect downhill characteristics on any ski tour thanks to VACUUM technology.  For anyone who has never had a pair of AT boots with quite the right fit, the Transalp Vacuum TS might be just the ticket to all-day backcountry comfort.

Liner technology:

  • Ultralon Padding in the heel and ankle area of the boot liner
  • The Thermo Fit Liner is activated by body heat, molding this liner to your foot faster than the standard liner
  • Moldable lace-up liner, providing better and more compact support in the shell and for the foot, especially on the insteps and heel fit
  • The spoiler of the liner is fixed to the boot liner by a Velcro strap and can be adjusted individually; higher spoiler for more support, lower spoiler for lower calf position, spoiler removed for less forward lean

Vacu-Plast Cuff & Shell:

  • With a Fischer vacuum boot fitter and a trained professional (available at our brick-and-mortar store, The Outdoor Gear Exchange in Burlington, Vermont!), you can fit the plastic shell of the boot to the anatomy of your foot, giving you a personalized fit
  • Once the shell is heated to 80 C, an air pressure bag is placed over the boot to compression fit the shell to your foot
  • Keep in mind, the vacuum fit is not required, and the boots can be skied right out of the box; in any case, we always recommend that you ski a new boot first before you get it fitted
  • Out of the box, the boot has a 103 mm last, offering a comfortable, high volume fit; through the vacuum fit process, the shell can be molded to between 97 and 107 mm depending on your foot width

Additional details:

  • The shell is designed with the ergonomic position of your feet in mind, featuring what Fischer calls V-position and On-Center Position
  • Ski/walk lever that offers an awesome 53 degrees of fore-aft rotation
  • Relatively soft 115 flex (Fischer does not publish the flex of its boots, so 115 has become the accepted estimate), strengthened by a 40 mm touring power strap
  • Replaceable toe and heel pads

  • Vacu-Plast heat-moldable shell and cuff with Pebax insert
  • Thermotour lace-up liner with Ultralon foam padding
  • 97-107 mm last
  • Weight: 3 lbs 9.1 oz
  • 40 mm Touring power strap
  • X-light aluminum buckles
  • Vibram soles
  • Lean angle: 13 degrees
  • Walk mode with 53-degree cuff rotation
  • Tech binding compatibility
  • Manufacturer warranty: 4 years
