We took our classic Magnum pant design and engineered a lighter fabric with a brushed lining to aid in temperature control and moisture transfer on the climbs. But, don't worry, the exterior material is still super tough, stretchy and abrasion resistant. Then we added a left leg pocket, a 9" inner thigh vent, and Flylow's first nearly full-zip outer vent that allows you to take the pants off without removing your boots (trust us, this will come in handy at some point). Winner of the coveted Telemark Skier Magazine Award, the Magnum Pants represent generations of FlyLow innovation in technical pant production. We have integrated everything we have learned from ski patrol that stand by our gear to professional skiers that push our clothing to the limits and keep us up to date on style. These pants have the ultimate utility: softshell and breathablility for excellent comfort on the way up the mountain but are waterproof and tough for the way down. After research and testing we have developed the latest Intuitive Fabric for this pant that incorporates a 90% nylon outer shell (mixed with some spandex for stretch) a 10k/10k hydrophilic membrane and a nylon tricot to optimize weight, waterproofing and breathability. The Magnum pant unites the benefits of both softshells and hardshells, built with all the standard FlyLow features: 1200 Denier Cordura cuffs and knees, inner and out thigh vents, gators, velcro elastic waist adjustors and the perfect fit. Just like the namesake, the Magnum pants are attractive on the outside, but remain all business.

Flylow manufactures freeride apparel for the modern skier. Its founders, college friends and Colorado natives Greg Steen and Dan Abrams, noticed that most people they skied with – including themselves – were wearing mountaineering gear. While those clothes were designed for light and fast travel in the mountains, they didn’t necessarily stand up to the rigors of riding in demanding terrain. In response, Flylow developed a line of outerwear that has the mobility of mountaineering gear but the style and fit of freeride apparel. Throughout the creative process, they have focused on balancing simplicity and functionality and have created products that will stand up to the harshest conditions, whether you’re lapping in-bounds steeps, climbing a skin track, hitting a kicker in the park, or drinking a beer on your tailgate at the end of the day.
