The 9.8 Transformer is made from transfer yarns, high-quality left over yarns which are usually disposed of unused due to their colour variations. As well as saving valuable resources, each metre of the resulting rope has a unique design. Thanks to the superDRY™ coating, the 9.8 Transformer has excellent characteristics and handling properties, as well as an attractive price-performance ratio.

Great All-Around Climbing Rope Review by Dave

I have now used this rope for a full season and it has been great. Easy to flake, feels supple while pulling to clip draws and it moves through devices easily. The dry treatment , diameter and available length in 70m make it a great four season all around rope; whether you are top-roping, sport climbing, trad climbing, or ice climbing this rope will get the job done. Mammut also uses yarn that previously would have been thrown away and the "recycled" yarn creates a completely unique rope that makes it truly one of a kind. (Posted on 3/21/13)
