Description

Cold winter days require insulation that softens the blow of icy winds and freezing temperatures, and there is no more efficient insulator for outdoor clothing than lightweight, high-lofting goose down. The Mountain Equipment Odin jacket is packed with 250 grams of it, and is constructed in a simple, solid manner that lends it great versatility for whenever the weather turns colder.

The 250 gram fill weight of the Odin is relatively high for a jacket that is still low-profile enough to be worn under a shell, so it delivers a lot of warmth for its 600-gram total weight. The adjustable cuffs and neck drawcord are welcome features not commonly found on its competitors.
Feature list from Mountain Equipment
  • Lightweight rip stop shell with DWR finish
  • 250g (Size L) of 85/15 down with a minimum fill power of 625
  • Stitched-through baffle construction throughout
  • YKK® centre front zipper with insulated rear baffle
  • 2 zipped hand warmer pockets
  • Inner zipped security pocket
  • Adjustable cuffs
  • Drawcords at hem and neck

ABOUT MOUNTAIN EQUIPMENT

Based in Cheshire, United Kingdom, Mountain Equipment has been going Above and Beyond since 1961. For over five decades, they have been equipping expeditions for the harshest conditions on earth. They have participated in every British first ascent of an 8000m peak, been part of more than 175 Everest summits by International Mountain Guides and Sherpas, and equipped unsupported trips to the North and South Poles. They made the very first one-piece down suit for mountaineering use, for Don Whillan's 1970 Annapurna expedition. So whether you are going on expedition to the Himalaya or learning the ropes in North Wales (or Vermont!) you can do so safe in the knowledge that your Mountain Equipment gear has been proven to perform.
