MSR Lightning Snowshoes 22

Ideal for flat and rolling winter terrain MSR Lightning 22 snowshoes feature a revolutionary Total Traction Frame that provides not only the showshoe's structure but also a perimeter with 360 degree traction. This design results in unsurpassed traction that becomes especially important on hard packed snow and icy surfaces.

At only 3 lb. 2 oz. MSR Lightning 22 snowshoes are ultra-light. With less weight on your feet walking becomes easier and more natural. The frame is constructed from one vertical blade of aerospace-quality aluminum supported by two cross members of high-strength steel. The urethane decking is fastened at 18 attachment points for an extra measure of durability even in the unlikely event of a tear-out.

The bindings of the Lightning 22 snowshoes utilize a step-on molded urethane design with speed-hook buckles that open to fit a variety of boots. The general load range of the Lightning 22 snowshoes is 125-225 lbs. (includes body weight clothing and pack weight). However flotation requirements vary dramatically with snow conditions.
