CAMP
C.A.M.P. stands for Conception of Articles for Mountaineering Made in Premana. The Italian based company was founded by a blacksmith producing a wide range of products from wrought iron. Production of alpine and mountaineering equipment began when the founders son created a new item for alpine use, the ice axe. After the First World War, Italian Army Officials stressed that soldiers needed equipment that would enable them to move more efficiently over difficult icy terrain. In the coming years, C.A.M.P. went on to produce new items such as crampons, hammers, pitons, and nuts. Today, they continue to challenge themselves to promote the endeavors of those who love the risk and spirit of adventure.
Trekking Poles
We at GearX.com have found that trekking poles, whether they're fixed, collapsible, or antishock are worth the weight. Hiking poles with baskets that can double as touring ski poles, and any sort of walking pole can help take some of the weight off of your knees. Check out or selection from Black Diamond and Leki.
