The Women's Xenon Jacket is a lightweight, synthetic insulated jacket designed specifically for women.

The Rab Xenon is a highly compressible, lightweight synthetic jacket that is a perfect partner for alpine or multi-pitch rock routes. The Xenon packs an amazing amount of warmth into 285g (10oz), owing primarily to its Primaloft® One insulation - currently the warmest synthetic insulation available.

The Xenon is a no frills jacket - zipped hand-warmer pockets and its simple, womens' specific, sleek design spares weight and bulk. The Lycra-bound hood is low volume and designed to be worn under a helmet, when not in use the hood also rolls up securely. A nylon outer shell made of Pertex® Quantum® GL 10d offers some weather resistance in light rain and snow and the outer fabric is remarkably lightweight and durable. The Xenon jacket packs down very small into its own chest pocket and can then be clipped to a harness or stowed in your pack - just in case!

The Xenon is the perfect partner to anyone who likes to go light in the mountains without sacrificing function or performance. The Xenon performs as a lightweight mid layer for very cold conditions, as an outer layer, or as an 'emergency' belay or rest piece to carry at all times.

In 1981, British mountaineer Robert “Rab” Carrington started making down jackets and sleeping bags in Sheffield, England. Inspired by the new style of lightweight alpine climbing which he helped pioneer, Rab made it his mission to make equipment that would withstand “the most extreme conditions in the world.”

Rab’s product line has expanded dramatically since then, but Rab’s commitment to functionality, durability, and value remains as strong as ever. At GearX.com, we are continually impressed by Rab’s superb knowledge of technical fabrics (they were the originators of Pertex) and attention to small yet crucial details like high-quality zippers. No matter which Rab product you choose, you can be sure that it will be a faithful companion in the mountains.
