More internal space without weight addition.I own nine tents for different use applications and this Sierra Designs Flash 2, standard for 2016, got my attention to purchase. Of tents at equivalent weight, this one is less confining internally and it has other features that just work better if in moderate camping conditions. Though set up involves two long pole sleeves, it wasn't as much hassle as expected, and the trade off to the resulting smart structure. Just study its photos to see its wider upper space, its awnings, the venting options, and view out versatility. I'd guess, the tent's only weak link would only be in high winds, but that's just my speculation not tested. The material quality and build of the tent I received had no issues, and comparative to a reasonable price. The main color as expected, a lime green, and its attached rain fly a light gray color, which might look otherwise in some of the web photos I've seen. I like the 4 foot internal width for me alone, and wouldn't want to share that space with a second person. However, they do have one size up on this tent, that mainly changes just the width, to either fit two comfortably or squeeze three in, by my standards. I like that they have a second tent size on this same design for if you want to share space in one tent. I don't like that Sierra Designs has the “Flash 2” name pertaining to four of their different tents, that only causes confusion on info and shopping web searches, and has some web sites naming them incorrectly and posting the wrong tent image. Gearx had the correct images and info.
