Sterling Marathon 8.4MMx60M Dry Half Ro

The definitive half rope! Seen by many climbers as a specialty rope, half ropes have their devotees in the climbing community. The new 8.4mm Half provides the same durability and performance as all other Marathon Ropes. The Marathon Half however, is a truly versatile rope. Used in tandem, half ropes with their lightweight, smaller diameter offer many benefits for climbers. They offer the ability to alternately clip into protection, placing less impact on shaky gear, and provide extra protection against rope cuts on climbs where rockfall or sharp edges are common. On long traverses, they offer security and protection for the second in the event of a fall. Last, but not least, when every gram counts or when speed is the word of the day, the 8.4 Half makes rapping flawless.
